Autism Care Demonstration: Parent Toolkit

Through the Autism Care Demonstration (ACD), TRICARE-eligible beneficiaries diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) have access to applied behavior analysis (ABA) and care coordination services. 

The ACD Parent Toolkit was designed to help you understand the building blocks of the ACD and the many components working together to support your child. The ACD Parent Toolkit describes each step of the program from eligibility and initial assessments to re-authorizations, and, eventually, discharge and transition. You’ll learn what to expect at six months, one year and two years while receiving services. You’ll also learn how to access other services that are in place for supporting your family, such as Military OneSource, the Medicaid Waiver program and other resources local to your community, state and region.

Parents/caregivers can access the ACD Parent Toolkit through one of these two methods: 1) a downloadable PDF or 2) a self-paced online course.
