Other Questions About West Region TRICARE® Services Handled by New Contractor
On Jan. 1, 2025, the TRICARE West Region contractor changed from Health Net Federal Services, LLC (HNFS) to TriWest Healthcare Alliance (TriWest), who is now responsible for providing health care to the military community in the TRICARE West Region.
From Jan. 1–Mar. 30, 2025, HNFS’ customer service team can only support claims for services rendered prior to Jan. 1, 2025. Questions about receiving care in 2025, including questions about eligibility, enrollment fees and provider network status, or secure portals must be directed to TriWest at 1-888-TRIWEST. Information may also be found at www.tricare.mil/west, the new West Region website.
While we understand beneficiaries and providers may have other TRICARE-related questions, HNFS is no longer authorized to answer questions about TRICARE benefits, enrollment, referrals and authorizations, provider contracting or other topics unrelated to claims prior to Jan. 1, 2025.
For nearly four decades, HNFS has been honored to have worked alongside the military community and our exceptional network of providers. We are proud of the impact we’ve had on the TRICARE benefit and the lives we’ve improved along the way. HNFS’ legacy West Region website, www.tricare-west.com, will remain available with content to support our remaining authorized scope of work through June 30, 2025. HNFS offers detailed information at www.tricare-west.com/go/transition to help those in the West Region understand who to contact.
If you cannot resolve your concern with HNFS or TriWest, you may contact the Defense Health Agency who manages the TRICARE program. Their mailing information is as follows:
