One-Stop Test to Treat for COVID-19 Now Available
Friday, April 1, 2022
On March 4, 2022, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) launched the Test to Treat Initiative to provide fast and convenient COVID-19 testing and treatment services.
Referred to as “One-Stop Test to Treat” locations, participating pharmacy-based clinics, federally qualified health centers and long-term care facilities are available nationwide. As of March 7, 2022, HHS/ASPR began distributing COVID-19 antiviral pills – molnupiravir and PAXLOVID™ – to pharmacy-based clinics participating in the Test to Treat Initiative. A list of participating locations is available at: https://covid-19-test-to-treat-locator-dhhs.hub.arcgis.com/.
When your office is unable to schedule patient visits, we encourage you to inform your TRICARE patients about using One-Stop Test to Treat locations for COVID-19 testing and oral antiviral treatment.
Receiving testing and treatment on-site
The One-Stop Test to Treat locations will provide COVID-19 testing, and, if a patient has a positive result and is at increased risk of developing severe COVID-19, they can:
- Receive a prescription from one of the One-Stop Test to Treat location’s available qualified health care providers, and
- Fill their prescription on site.
Receiving treatment on-site
Patients who have positive COVID-19 results from at-home tests or positive results from other testing sites can bring their results with them to One-Stop Test to Treat locations and, if appropriate, receive oral antiviral pills on-site.
